The modest décor, warm lighting, and steady hum of content chatter invite you to settle in, whether you’re popping by for a quick solo lunch or gathering with friends for a relaxed evening.
The rhythm here is unhurried but lively, a comfortable balance that reflects generations of loyal diners returning for dishes prepared with care and attention. You won’t find the rush of a flashy city spot or the formality of fine dining — instead, there’s an easygoing, honest atmosphere where the food carries the day.
What stands out most is how the menu embraces variety, allowing each guest to tailor their experience. Whether you crave the crisp texture of a freshly fried spring roll, the gentle kick of ginger paired with tender pork, or a generous plate brimming with noodles and vibrant vegetables, there’s a sense of home-cooked warmth in every bite. The flavors aren’t merely about heat or spice but about balance, familiarity, and the thoughtful harmony of each ingredient.
You’ll notice the welcoming flow of staff who, known to many regulars, offer attentive but unpretentious service that matches the restaurant’s calm pace. It’s the kind of place where over time you get to know the faces behind the kitchen and the counter — a human connection that adds to the overall comfort of visiting.

Very good! Love how you get to choose your dishes for the combos, as usually there's a couple dishes you like and some you don't. Also don't understand the bad reviews for the service as I've had nothing bit great experiences. I've been here 10 times in the last couple months and it's always been great. Always people there which should tell you everything you need to know. Personal favorite is Combo 2 with noodles, sesame chicken and sweet and sour pork. I can eat alot of food but combo 2 seems to be the right amount and I'm still leaving with some.

Went to this restaurant at random, the breaded shrimp while overpriced at $19 (taxes included) was delicious tasting. Really wished they gave more portion for the price.

I love tegaru, my favorite Chinese food restaurant for 10 years. Highly recommend it!! Think it's been the same person running it for that long if I'm not mistaken. Love the choices and all the variety, you can pick and choose what you'd like. The food is delicious, flavorful and fulfilling. Everything is usually fresh and hot. They also have items that don't contain meat for vegetarians. There very generous with servings, I can almost never seem to finish it all so I get to take the rest to go. The combo prices are affordable along with everything else.
